About Sean

Paddleboarder at Beach

I've spent years leading catastrophe response when hurricanes, wildfires, and floods tear through American towns.

A degree in behavioral science taught me why people do what they do. Catastrophe taught me what they do when it counts. I've worked alongside military members and their families, and alongside devastated communities rebuilding from nothing–I've learned that some people break, some hold, and a few, the ones you'd never expect, stand up and carry everyone else.

Those are the people I write about. The Heroes I met created the Valadyn Knight's mantra.

I stood among the stones at Stonehenge and walked the Irish hills where druids once practiced their art. Every detail in The Loom of Fate grows from real, ancient roots, carrying the weight of history and the pain of tragedy.

The Unraveling is where it begins: twins separated at birth, two magics in conflict, and a dark evil that demands revenge.

When I'm not writing, I'm pulling an espresso shot, chasing light with a camera, leaning into a curve on a motorcycle or paddle boarding in the salt air.

I live in Southern California with Ollie, Luna and Fenix: two cats and a horse. Guess who's who?
